What is Advanced Fee Fraud?
Advance fee fraud is a deceptive scheme in which a victim is asked to pay money upfront in anticipation of receiving something of value—such as a product, service, or business opportunity—that ultimately never materializes. This type of fraud is often conducted through counterfeit websites, fraudulent emails posing as official correspondence from the company, or fake social media accounts. Typically, the fraudster insists that a “deposit” or “advance payment” be made before the transaction can proceed. Once paid, the victim receives nothing in return.
For individuals in the United States, additional information and protection resources can be found at:
https://www.fbi.gov/scams-and-safety/common-scams-and-crimes/advance-fee-schemes. (Annex Network is not responsible for the content of this external site.)
If you reside outside of the U.S., we recommend checking with your local authorities for guidance on how to report such scams and protect yourself further.
Annex Network has been made aware of individuals fraudulently claiming to represent our company, offering commodities at unusually discounted rates. These individuals are not employees of, affiliated with, or authorized to act on behalf of Annex Network in any capacity.
To lend credibility to their scheme, these fraudsters may use falsified documents bearing the Annex Network logo, business addresses, and even fabricated contracts. They may also create deceptive email accounts resembling official Annex Network communications, and present forged identification documents, including passports.
Annex Network is not liable for any fraudulent contracts, misrepresentations, or reimbursement of funds lost through such schemes.
How to Protect Yourself from Advance Fee Fraud
Be cautious of websites or social media platforms advertising commodity products at significantly discounted prices. Fraudsters often pose as legitimate sellers and request a small percentage of the total order value to be paid upfront—typically via wire transfer. Once the funds are sent, they are rarely recoverable.
Annex Network does not conduct business through private messaging platforms such as Gmail, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, or other unofficial channels.
All official business is conducted through verified corporate communication channels.
If you come across Annex Network products being advertised or sold on a website other than www.annexnetwork.com.au, please treat the source as unauthorized and potentially fraudulent.
If you believe you have been the victim of a fraudulent sales agreement or impersonation involving Annex Network, please contact us immediately through our official channels.
